The CHA CHA CHA (available in two models) is an intermittent motion machine, with an inline or side infeed conveyor system, capable of running print registered film with speeds ranging up to 60 bundles per minute. Depending on the model, the machines use a single or double rolls of film (clear or print registered) with film repetitions up to 40 inches in length. Each machine has the versatility to run a wide variety of products ranging up to 12 inches in height. All motions are electro-mechanical and controlled by three-phase motors and inverters or by servos. No air or vacuum is required for operation.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The product arrives automatically to the CHA CHA CHA’s infeed conveyor. The product group is collated and then moved onto a transfer belt. One or two (depending on model) sheet(s) of clear or print registered polyethylene film is raised in front of the product group(s). The film loops over the top of the bundles and drops behind. The product group reverses direction to overlap the film at the bottom. The bundles proceed forward through a single or dual fan heat tunnel to shrink the film tightly around the products and seal the bottom film overlap.
